Chapter 06
Film & Creative Projects
Imagining Worlds
How ideas become realities.

Every project begins long before anything can be seen.
It begins with an idea. An atmosphere. A question. A possibility waiting to take shape.
Working in creative environments taught me that imagination is never separate from reality. It is the first step towards creating it.
Whether developing a story, designing a space, preparing a production or shaping an experience, every meaningful project begins by imagining how people should feel.
Creativity as empathy
Creativity is often misunderstood as self-expression. For me, it has always been an act of empathy.
It begins by understanding others well enough to create something that resonates with them.
Every detail has a purpose. Every colour, every space, every sequence and every decision contributes to an experience that people may never consciously analyse, but instinctively remember.
Beyond the screen
Film revealed how emotion can be created through composition, rhythm and atmosphere.
Creative direction taught me that the same principles exist far beyond the screen.
Hospitality. Events. Destinations. Brands. Spaces.
They all begin with imagination before they become reality.
A quiet thread
Looking back, I realise that creativity has never been a separate chapter of my career. It has quietly accompanied every one of them.
Because before we can create meaningful experiences, we first have to imagine the world we want others to experience.
Every world begins as an idea. The greatest creations are imagined long before they are built.
From the original portfolio
The film chapter above is the short form. The old portfolio still holds the German-language Filmographie page — with set-design impressions, before-and-after images of the Aufbau, props tables and behind-the-scenes stills from the productions listed here.
